The
UF Brooks Center for Rehabilitation
Studies addresses the
rehabilitation and human performance needs of individuals
with disabling conditions resulting from birth, injury, or
disease. These include individuals with many types of conditions:
stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis,
chronic pain, arthritis and various musculoskeletal conditions.
The
mission of the University of Florida Brooks Center for Rehabilitation
Studies is to further knowledge in rehabilitation science
and practice through excellence in research and research training.
The Brooks Center provides research training opportunities
in rehabilitation researches for both pre- and post-doctoral
investigators.
The
Brooks Center for Rehabilitation Studies is a university-wide
entity hosted by the University of Florida's College of Public
Health and Health Professions. The
Center's academic and research partners consist of all University
of Florida colleges and research centers that share our vision
of enhancing human performance through rehabilitation science
and technology.
The
Center's principal clinical partners are the Brooks Health
System in Jacksonville, Florida; the UF & Shands Shands
Health Care in both Gainesville and Jacksonville, Florida;
and the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System. |
